CareMove

Terms of services

Welcome to CareMove.us. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement that governs your use of the CareMove.us website (the “Site”) and our platform for booking reliable non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services.

By accessing our Site and using our medical transport services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Please review this document carefully. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use the CareMove.us platform.

1. Our NEMT Services Explained

CareMove.us provides a user-friendly platform for scheduling and managing non-emergency medical transportation. We connect patients, caregivers, and healthcare facilities with professional transportation providers for safe transit to medical appointments and facilities.

1.1. Scope of Patient Transportation

Our services are designed for transportation to destinations such as:

  • Doctor’s appointments and specialist visits

  • Dialysis centers

  • Physical therapy and rehabilitation facilities

  • Hospital discharges

  • Outpatient surgery centers

1.2. Critical Emergency Notice

Our service is strictly for non-emergency situations. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately. CareMove.us is not an ambulance or emergency medical service provider.

2. User Accounts and Booking Eligibility

To use our NEMT booking service, you must register for an account.

2.1. Eligibility Requirements

You must be 18 years or older to book a ride. If you are scheduling transportation for another person, you confirm you have the legal authority to act on their behalf and share their necessary information.

2.2. Providing Accurate Information

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete details for every trip, including:

  • Passenger’s full name and contact information.

  • Precise pickup and drop-off addresses.

  • Confirmed medical appointment times.

  • Specific mobility needs (e.g., wheelchair transport, walker assistance, ambulatory).

Inaccurate information may cause delays or service cancellation.

3. Booking Your Medical Transportation: Fares & Payment Process

3.1. Scheduling a Ride

All transportation must be scheduled in advance through the CareMove.us Site to ensure provider availability.

3.2. Fares and Payments

Fares for our medical transportation services are provided at the time of booking. Rates are calculated based on distance, required vehicle type (e.g., wheelchair-accessible van), and other factors. Payment is required at the time of booking via our secure online payment system.

4. Our NEMT Cancellation and No-Show Policy

We have a clear policy for cancellations to ensure our network runs efficiently.

  • Cancellations with 24+ Hours Notice: A full refund will be issued.

  • Cancellations with 4 to 24 Hours Notice: A cancellation fee of [$XX.XX or XX%] will apply.

  • Cancellations with Less Than 4 Hours Notice & No-Shows: The full fare will be charged. A “No-Show” occurs if a passenger is not at the pickup location within 15 minutes of the scheduled time.

5. Passenger Responsibilities for a Smooth Medical Transport

To ensure a safe and timely journey, all passengers and their representatives agree to the following:

  • Be Ready on Time: Passengers should be ready for their scheduled pickup to avoid delays. Drivers will wait a maximum of 15 minutes, after which additional wait-time fees may apply or the trip may be considered a No-Show.

  • Respectful Conduct: All passengers must treat drivers with respect. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone behaving in a disruptive or unsafe manner.

  • Passenger Stability: You confirm the passenger is medically stable for non-emergency transport.

  • Personal Items: Passengers are responsible for their own belongings. CareMove.us is not liable for lost or damaged items.

6. Data Privacy and HIPAA Compliance

Your privacy is a top priority. Our handling of Personal Health Information (PHI) is governed by our Privacy Policy and is designed to be compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Using our NEMT service constitutes consent to the practices outlined in our Privacy Policy.

7. Service Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

7.1. “As Is” Service Disclaimer

CareMove.us provides its platform “as is.” We do not guarantee that our service will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not responsible for service delays caused by external factors like traffic, weather, or road closures.
